Lexington High School has a full-time position open for an Assistant
Director of Debate for the 2011-2012 school year. The Lexington High School
Debate Team is a nationally competitive program that competes in policy,
Lincoln-Douglas and public forum debate. The Assistant Director will work
closely with the current Director, Sara Sanchez, and the Assistant Lincoln
Douglas coach Chris Palmer, teach two debate classes and fill the other half
of their commitment in the Social Studies Department. They will need to be
teacher certifiable in MA. They should have significant experience coaching
policy, Lincoln-Douglas and/or Public Forum debate at a national level. They
should be willing to travel at least one weekend per month and be available
after school two days a week to judge practice debates.
